Cynthia Hawkins, Librarian

My name is Cynthia Hawkins. I have been a teacher for 23 years, with the last 4 as the librarian at Holly Pond Elementary. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 5th grade, and been a Reading Specialist here at HPES. I enjoy music, playing the piano, spending time with my family & two grandsons, and, of course, I love being an avid reader. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from UNA, a Master’s in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M, and a Master’s in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I enjoy sharing my love of reading with our students and hope to inspire them to be life-long readers as well!
